| Minton Tableware - Haddon Hall - English Classics by Royal Doulton |
Minton - Haddon Hall lets you lay the table with an ingenious twist on traditional, floral themed white bone china: it's distinctive decorative pattern is inspired by a tapestry hanging in the English country hall of that name in Derbyshire. |
Until recently the Minton brand consisted of other tableware designs and patterns. Notably Orchid, Pure Gold, Riverton and Dynasty, now known as Dynasty Gold. They are now all manufactured under the Distinguished House of Wedgwood brand name, a showcase of Wedgwood’s pre-eminent skills and craftsmanship.

BRIEF HISTORY - Minton’s Ltd, was a major ceramics manufacturing company, originated with Thomas Minton (1765-1836) the founder of "Thomas Minton and Sons", who established his pottery factory in Stoke-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, England, in 1793, producing earthenware and from 1798 bone china. Post-1950 rationalisation of the British pottery industry took Minton into a merger with Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd under the brand names of Royal Doulton, Royal Albert and Minton. Together, the three brands make up Doulton Home, which is now part of the Waterford Wedgwood group. After the 2009 purchase by KPS Capital, Royal Doulton and therefore Minton became part of a group of companies known as WWRD, an acronym for "Wedgwood Waterford Royal Doulton."
