WORKS OF ART - Bilston and Battersea Enamels Works of Art service gives you the opportunity to mark that special event or occasion in your life with custom one-of-a-kind or limited production of enamel boxes, bangles and cufflinks. We offer TWO services where you can have your favourite photographs reproduced onto enamel wares, either digitally or painted by hand to produce a sentimental treasure for you and your loved ones. As a guide, digital Works of Art cost around £75 - £160. Hand painted Works of Art cost around £350 - £750. All have a lead-time of 6-8 weeks. BRIEF HISTORY - Bilston and Battersea Enamels leads the industry in ensuring the Georgian art of enamelling is not only preserved but is rejuvenated for the future. When it was founded more than forty years ago, Bilston and Battersea Enamels was able to draw on the knowledge and the age-old traditions handed down through generations of artisans. Four decades or so later, with a worldwide reputation for prestigious and lavish enamels, Bilston and Battersea Enamels continue to make exquisite products. Products that include boxes, cufflinks and jewellery for women in the style of highly prized 18 th -century examples as well as adding contemporary designs relevant to 21 st -century lifestyles.

Because of its heritage and quality the company has secured licences to paint enamels of famous characters and designs created by A A Milne and E H Shepard of Winnie the Pooh fame, Beatrix Potter who wrote Tales of Peter Rabbit and others. Cicely Mary Barker who owns the Flower Fairies license. Licensed work is also available from Jim Shore, Thomas Kinkade, Nel Whatmore, Walt Disney and Lilliput Lane.

A partnership originally forged over many years between Halcyon Days Enamels and Bilston and Battersea Enamels ended on the 5th February 2008. Both companies have now gone their separate ways, with both designing and manufacturing their own products to the same very high standards but in competition with each other.
